 week 5  focuses on supporting visible teaching and learning through building collaborative, multimodal Google Sites. i can now see how helpful it would be to know your way around google site it is a awesome place to create a class site. i dont have a class to make a class site for so to increases my skills on google sites i made a site that can be used to find out what to wear each season of the year. i really enjoyed google sites it has a lot of possibilities.

This week we looked into computational thinking  and how being a computational thinker can help empower children's learning. and how technology is becoming a big part of the worlds future.    we also looked into coding and we got to have a go at making out own animation. i spent a bit of time creating a scratch animation but didn't realize i wasn't loged in to be able to save it and display on here.    

This week we looked into google sites. Why Google Sites? Visible and accessible to all at any time. Learning available outside traditional school hours Extend learning through collaboration. Extend learning through collaboration. Rewindable content through multimedia. Fostering higher motivation & engagement. Using a Classroom Site The Purpose. one stop hub for learning. learning is accessible anytime  by anyone , anyplace. Rewindable learning supported. Personalising learning via multiple opportunities to access  content. visible learning and teaching.  hub for information for parents and caregivers. weekly overview and timelines.  class sites are the perfect place for student to go to see what their class is doing for the week. it also great for children to find what reading or math group they belong to with out have to wait for the teacher making them more independant. Rewindable content through multimedia .

  One thing  I learn that  improves my confidence, capability or workflow as a professional is all the different shortcuts on chromebooks.   One thing  that could be used with my learners is how to use google draw to create posters, flowcharts ect.    Below is a google draw i made showing some of the best chromebook shortcuts.  

  kia ora in week 3  this is what i made using google slides. I really enjoyed learning about how you can make google slides more than just a boring plan presentation. i have created a quick quiz about the world and space. 

Today i learnt how to use MY google maps and how to take data from a spreed sheet and put it into my google maps. i also learnt how to use spreed sheets i had never used it before so i learnt so much today and i think this is going to help me in a lot of different ways in the future.

Today our DFI was held Kaitaia intermediate.  I learnt a-lot of new things. Below is a video of me doing a screen recording in google meet.  In the video i am talking about a blog post i have found that was very interesting and i really enjoyed watching the video.    Today i learnt about the LEARN (AKO) part of learn, create, share. that increased my understanding of Manaiakalani kaupapa and pedagogy One thing I learn that could improve my capability or workflow as a professional? is the organising of my gmail inbox . By setting up labels it is much easier to find important emails and i have also set my inbox in a way where certain emails will go to the correct location in my gmail without me having to do anything. one thing i learnt that could be used with my learners is how to use google meets properly this is going to help me stay connected with my student throughout school holidays and now that i know how to share my screen we can do reading together.  

1:One thing i learnt today to increase my understanding of manaiakalani kaupapa is how and why manaiakalai was created and how far it has come since 2006.  2:one thing i learnt that can improve my capability as a professional is how i can organise my drive in a way that will help me find what i need when i need it without having to search through all my files.  3: one thing i learnt that i can use with my learners is  using voice typing  and word count to encourage the tamariki with their reading and hopefully help improve the speed of their reading.  4: one thing that could improve my confidence,  in my personal life is  using extensions to do things more efficiently or to get more use out of google and everything it has to offer.      Here is my fist poster i have created showing how to take quality photos at home.
